Develop and execute business development plans and activities to achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with the company’s vision, goals, and business plan. Conduct research on existing and emerging markets in the legal industry and identify target markets for the company’s legal services. Develop sales objectives and strategies to enter target markets and create opportunities to accelerate the growth of the firm. Develop business plans for a variety of sales possibilities and strategies to compare the costs, risks, and benefits of each option. Perform sales forecasts and report results with acceleration and gap closure plans to firm management. Develop the firm’s overall marketing strategy and develop and implement joint marketing and service plans in both the United States and Latin America to increase market share and the profitability of services. Identify potential new clients in the financial, real estate, and energy industries and develop methods to communicate the value of the company’s services and convince prospects to do business with the company. Establish and maintain business relationships with other professional firms such as CPA firms, financial advisors, and other law firms. Assist the firm’s attorneys in understanding clients’ business objectives and in developing legal and business solutions to meet their needs. Review documents related to acquisitions, leases, corporate framework, joint ventures, etc. and provide guidance regarding board reporting and communications, entity formation and management, corporate governance, risk management, and compliance as appropriate. Keep abreast of the latest industry trends by analyzing information from relevant publications and news sources to assist with future business development efforts.
Requirements:
The position requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field. This may be substituted with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Strategic Management, and Marketing Management. The position requires little travel, 24 % of the work time several days but less than 60 days per year in the U.S. and Mexico.
40 hours/week.
